From Xela to the volcano - Take the "Colectivo" (small Miminivan) from here in direction of San Martin. Price 10Q p.P..
"Colectivo" Busstop
The path from San Martin to the volcano "Chiquibal" it`very steep, good shoes are very important! There are also some vehicles to drives you to the entrance, red pickups with seating on the hold. Price 75Q per vehicle per way.
Eintrittspreis to the "Laguna Chicabal": 50Q for tourists, 15Q for locals.
From Xela to "Fuentes Termales Georginas" - From Xela there are many buses driving to Zunil.
Price per ride: 7Q per way
Busstation nach Zunil
From Zunil, a "TukTuk" or a taxi can be booked in the market square for 40-50Q (tourist price) or 20Q for locals. It is also possible to hitchhike to the thermal baths.
Distance from Zunil to the thermal baths: 8.3km. The route is not steep, but it takes a long time to get to the thermal baths.
Entrance fee to the thermal baths: 60Q for tourists / 40Q for locals.
The return to Xela is a bit more complicated, because there is no transport back to the village at the thermal baths. There are only three ways back.
1. Walk back
2. Ask guests in the restaurant or thermal bath about a possibility to return to the village or Xela.
3. Book a taxi in the restaurant to Xela / costs 150Q per vehicle.

Busterminal Zunil
From Xela to Retalhuleu / Mazatenango 2h
There are many buses who goes directly from terminal Minerva to Retalhuleu or Mazatenango. Price 20Q
You also can take the bus to Zunil and take an other one (walk about 100m down) to one of the cities.
Retalhuleu (330 m.o.s) - It`s a pretty nice village close at the ocean, humid and hot. Good foodplaces and small local markets.
Mazatenango (340 m.o.s.) - It`s a smaller city with a local market some nice local food locations.
San Andrés is a small beautiful village with a nice hikingtrail to get a nice view to it`s area.
How to get there?
Catch a bus at the "Terminal Minerva" in direction to San Andrés. Price: 7.50Q
Sightseeings
"Sendero Pakotzij" - A hikingtrail up to a nice viewpoint it`s called "Sendero Pakotzij", to get there it takes about 1h to the top (~3000 m.o.s.).
Iglesia San Andrés - It`s a very nice and colorful church and it`s at the marketplace and busterminal.
